Fort Walton Beach, Florida  – January 11, 2018 – MAG Aerospace has officially opened it’s Fort Walton Beach Technology Integration and Support Center (TISC) with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Following the ceremony, a reception was held along with full facility tours.

The ceremony hosted a list of high-caliber speakers who explained the impact and importance of the TISC.

Mr. Todd Wieser, AFSOC CTO, described the growing difficulties in today’s technologies and how they will increase even further. He expanded the conversation to address the courage required to attack these problems and perseverance it will take to overcome them as he introduced the father of special tactics, John T. Carney, Col. Retired.

Col. Carney, Retired Special Tactics Officer, discussed his gratefulness to be invited and honored by the naming of the facility. MAG looks forward to having Col. Carney return once the TISC is at full capability.

Brig Gen Holt, Special Assistant to the AFSOC Commander, gave a speech on delivering solutions at the speed of relevance, making sure we attack today’s problems with an effort to deliver before tomorrow’s antiquation.

Col. Cocanour, 24 SOW Vice Commander, addressed the importance of the TISC and how it relates to the innovation and forefront leadership of John T. Carney, Col Retired whom the building is named.

Joe Fluet, MAG Aerospace CEO, addressed the importance and greatness of partnership that the TISC has built and committed to deliver continued resources and funding to expand capabilities and services.

Mayor Rynearson, Fort Walton Beach Mayor, discussed the community impacts that MAG has made in such a short period of time. He was most excited about the paintings that the high schools provided and how we recognized some of the artists during the ceremony. He also, was very appreciative of the participation MAG has made in the EDC leadership and technology forums as well as other local commerce boards and memberships.

Additionally, in attendance was FL District 4 Representative Mel Ponder, General (Ret.) Charles R. Holland, and other community, civic, and military leaders.

The ceremony closed with Mr. Wieser, AFSOC CTO and Mr. Tirado, MAG TISC Product Manager holding both ends of the Ribbon, while John T. Carney, Col Retired, Cindy Carney, Col. Carney’s Wife, and Chad Vuyovich, MAG Director cut the ribbon with the honorary gold scissors.
