Fairfax, Virginia – February 7, 2022 – MAG Aerospace announced today that co-founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Joseph Fluet, is transitioning to the Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors effective January 31, 2022. Joseph (Joe) Reale, who previously served as MAG’s Chief of Staff, Chief Operating Officer and President, will succeed Fluet.  Fluet will continue to be engaged with Joe and MAG through his role as board chairman.

“The time was right for this move,” Fluet said. “It is important for an organization to change leadership over time. I have held the CEO position at MAG for 12 years, and for some time now, I’ve been considering who might follow me, and how. With decades of government services experience, Joe is one of the most talented executives I have ever known. As President and Chief Operating Officer, Joe knows our company, knows our people, knows the job, and has my complete confidence.”

As Fluet noted, Joe brings decades of government services experience focused on new business growth, operations, and curating organizational strategic objectives. Prior to joining MAG in 2019, he served as President of Camber Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Huntington Ingalls Industries, where he had full leadership responsibility of all operations, strategy, and financial performance for a portfolio of services that included protection and intelligence, software development, data analytics, modeling and simulation, unmanned systems as well as training and engineering. Before his time at Camber, Joe served as Vice President for the Defense Solutions Group at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). Joe holds a Bachelor of Science in finance from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

“I am humbled by the opportunity to follow a great leader like Joe Fluet as the CEO of a world class organization.  I will continue to be a steward of our Serve, Win, Perform culture focused on earning our customers business by operational excellence, listening to mission needs, and making the world smaller and safer. Every day is an opportunity to contribute to the success of our customers. MAG employees are true leaders in the industry who live the mission.”

– Joe Reale

Reale’s proven history of leadership and operational vision will undoubtedly continue to support MAG’s strategic objectives in both its core and developing markets.
