Fairfax, VA  – July 11, 2018 – MAG Aerospace (MAG) today announced the appointment of Matt Bartlett as head of corporate development, strategy, and marketing for MAG Aerospace. These duties are in addition to Matt’s current portfolio as MAG Chief Growth Officer. MAG also announced that France Hoang, the current Chief Strategy Officer, will transition to MAG’s Board of Advisors.

As head of corporate development, Matt will lead MAG’s mergers and acquisitions (M&A) strategy, ensuring that strategic acquisitions continue to fuel MAG’s strong organic growth.

Matt joined MAG’s founding team shortly after co-founders Joe Fluet and Joe Paull began MAG’s operations in 2010. Matt was appointed Chief Growth Officer (CGO) in 2015. During his tenure as CGO, Matt oversaw a global growth team that generated over $320 million in new business for MAG, resulting in a 4X+ EBITDA increase.

Matt has more than 20 years of industry experience in operational and business development leadership positions creating, leading, and growing organizations in the aerospace, defense, and government services market. Prior to MAG, Matt held management positions with Northrop Grumman managing specialty aviation programs in the Middle Eastand Southwest Asia with an annual contract value of over $150 million. Matt served in the U.S. Army as an Infantry officer with several overseas assignments including leading soldiers in combat in Iraq as a company commander with the 101st Airborne Division and as an Instructor at the U.S. Army Ranger School. He is a graduate of The Citadel, holds a PMP certification, and is Shipley trained.

About France Hoang
As a member of MAG’s Board of Advisors, France will continue to support and advise MAG’s senior management team on the development and implementation of MAG’s strategic plan.

France joined MAG’s founding team in 2010 and assumed the role of Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) in 2013. During his tenure as CSO, France led a corporate development team that completed 5 acquisitions and a recapitalization of the company, with the transactions totaling over $450 million in enterprise value.

France has more than 20 years of national security experience, with service in the private sector and in every branch of the Federal Government. Prior to MAG, France was appointed by President George W. Bush as an Associate White House Counsel and Special Assistant to the President. Shortly after leaving the White House, France mobilized in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM where he served as the Executive Officer of a U.S. Army Special Forces Company in Afghanistan. France graduated in the academic top 1% of his West Point class, received a Master’s in Criminal Justice from Washburn University, and graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center.
