Sam Sblendorio is the President of MAG Aerospace and serves on its Board of Directors.
Mr. Sblendorio joined MAG in 2010 bringing with him 18 years of experience in aerial Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) operations to include special mission systems development, ISR program management, and ISR employment around the world in both the government and private sectors. Prior to becoming President, Mr. Sblendorio served as MAG’s Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President for MAG’s ISR Operations Business Unit responsible for the company’s worldwide manned and unmanned ISR programs.
Prior to joining MAG, Mr. Sblendorio worked at Sierra Nevada Corporation’s Integrated Missions System (IMS) Division from 2005-2010 where he served in several positions within the Special Projects division before moving into Business Development. In his Business Development role, Mr. Sblendorio assisted in capturing both domestic and international ISR contracts to include the United Arab Emirates, the Canadian Government, the U.S. Army, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Before working in private industry, Mr. Sblendorio served in the U.S. Army as an officer in the Aviation Branch. While in the Army he also managed some of the first contractor operated/contractor owned (CO/CO) ISR aircraft programs for the U.S. Government in the 1990s.
Mr. Sblendorio is both a fixed wing and rotary wing qualified pilot as well as a mission systems operator. Additionally, Mr. Sblendorio has flown over 2,500 hours as an airborne mission commander (AMC) in various ISR aircraft operating around the world.
