Kelowna, Canada – October 24, 2016 – Discovery Air Fire Services (DAFS) will be attending Wildland Fire Canada 2016 (WFC) taking place October 24-28. WFC is a conference focused on building Canada’s resilience to future wildfires. The conference looks to achieve this through four main themes: (1) anticipating change, (2) designing resilient fire management systems, (3) defining and managing resilient landscapes, and (4) planning smarter, safer, resilient communities. Discovery Air brings to the conference 12 years of corporate experience providing essential services in the form of cost-effective government outsourced aviation service solutions. Because of this, Tom Ball, Business Development Manager for Discovery Air, has been invited to speak at the conference, to the National Air Operations group.

Discovery Air Inc. entered a definitive transaction agreement with MAG Aerospace (MAG) on September 8th to sell its fire services subsidiary, Discovery Air Fire Services. Jacob (Koby) Shavit, the President and CEO of Discovery Air, stated “MAG is an excellent home for our valued DAFS employees and customers and will allow the company to focus on its strategic growth plans while reducing its indebtedness”.
